WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Five Wilmington restaurants have joined forces to prepare an extravagant meal this Sunday. But it’s not just all about the delicious food this joint venture will mean a lot to two community organizations.
Manna Chef Jameson Chavez, James Doss of RX, Dean Neff of PinPoint, Keith Rhodes of Catch, and Shawn Wellersdick of Port Land Grille are coming together to put on a charity dinner.
Proceeds will go to Oasis N.C., autism support organization, and Cape Fear Community College’s Culinary Arts Program.
Manna Owner, Billy Mellon, said the meal has been months in the making and they are looking forward to the weekend’s festivities.
“The idea was to put away the misnomer that everyone is fighting against one another, it’s more of the idea of working together strength in numbers,” said Mellon.
Manna is part of the 40 EATS organizations, a group that promotes the area restaurant scene.
Mellon said it costs $125 per person for a 5 course meal. This weekend’s event is sold out.
