WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Opera Wilmington is hitting all the right notes with its production of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte. This weekend some community members had a chance to take a behind-the-scenes tour before it was brought to audiences.
The Italian opera premiered more than 200 years ago and Opera Wilmington is bringing the classic production to life again.
Joshua Collier, who plays Ferrando in the show, said they gave people a behind scenes look at all that work that has gone into the production.
“It really is an ensemble and collaborate effort,” said Collier. “There are so many people out there that think opera is fat women in horns. We want to show people that actually opera does have a place in the community and the 21st century life.”
Cosi Fan Tutte will open Friday at the Main Stage UNCW in the Cultural Arts Building.
