WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Thursday, a community came together for a man who went missing in the water at Wrightsville Beach earlier this week.
Chuck Kuebler went missing Tuesday morning near Access 33.
A prayer circle for the Kuebler family was held at Access 29. Dozens of people gathered on the beach.
Rose Kuebler, his wife, was joined by their sons Jonathan and Andrew to throw roses out to sea for him
“He’s the love of my life,” said Rose.”I threw out the roses to think of him and I’m praying still for that miracle.”
Rose said she is praying he will return home.
“Overwhelmed with the response of the people and the love and support they are showing for Chuck,” said Rose. “I am praying for a miracle. That he will be found alive.”
Chuck’s brother Bernie Kuebler and sister Carolina Kuebler said he was a caring person and was always involved with his community.
“Supporting the kids in all that they do and he was just everybody’s coach, if nobody could get it done, he could get it done,” said Caroline.
The Coast Guard search for Kuebler was suspended last night. Kuebler was a prominent member in the baseball and Laney High School communities.
