Wrightsville Beach Farmers’ Market winds down for the summer

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY)  —  It was a beautiful day to be out and about at Wrightsville Beach,  aside from enjoying the sun and the sand, some people stopped by the farmers’ market to get fresh produce and seafood for Labor Day festivities.

The Wrightsville Beach Farmers’ Market has been a hit with locals and tourists every Monday since it opened in the 2009. They offer everything from bread to fresh produce and seafood. They also have flowers and decorative signs. Vickie Davis, owner of Davis Seafood said she’s been a vendor for the past several years and loves the turn out each summer.

Despite the season coming to an end, Davis said the next few farmers’ markets won’t really be affected by tourists leaving town.

“I really don’t our locals are really loyal to us, we have locals that come every single week just to see me,” Davis said.

The Wrightsville Beach Farmers’ Market runs every Monday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. until September 26th.
