2,600 Feminine Hygiene Products delivered to Lumberton (Photo: Liz Marmaras)

LUMBERTON, NC (WWAY) —  An organization that aims to support women all over the country is trying to help Hurricane Matthew relief efforts.

The Support the Girls Wilmington chapter drove boxes filled with 2,600 tampons to Lumberton today.

The organization collects bras and feminine hygiene products to donate to women who need them. Liz Marmaras with the Wilmington chapter said affiliate chapters around the U.S. sent these boxes after Hurricane Matthew to help.

Today, they dropped them off at Peterson Toyota to be delivered around Lumberton.
