WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – You don’t need to go to outer space or Oz to defy gravity.
DeftyGravity Trampoline Park offers kids and the kids at heart the chance to fly into the air without ever leaving Wilmington.
Wondering what to expect?
“Expect to laugh at yourself,” said Tawana Jackson, assistant manager. “Expect to jump out of your comfort zone, pun intended.”
The main attraction is a giant room filled with dozens of trampolines.
You can bounce as high as you want, as far as you want and as much as you want.
The room also features curved trampolines for the ultimate game of dodge ball.
You can even bounce on the same trampolines Olympians use. Eurotramp’s material allows you to bounce much higher than the traditional trampolines we see in backyards.
On the other side of the indoor park you’ll find a room full of foam pits. They don’t allow you to defy gravity, but they certainly help when gravity takes over!
You can swing into the pits using a trapeze. You can jump into the pits after running up a ramp or springing from a trampoline. Let them catch your fall as you cross a tightrope or attempt to climb a rock wall.
Think you’ve got what it takes to be an ultimate ninja warrior? Put your skills to the test on the ultimate ninja course!
Your only goal at DeftyGravity is to have fun. There are, however, some rules.
When jumping from trampoline to trampoline, you must use two feet. You can’t run.
You’re not allowed to double bounce those around you.
You also can’t wear shoes or regular socks. You must jump barefoot or wear gripped socks.
The trampoline park is fun for the whole family. You’ll have such a good time, you won’t even realize it’s good for you, too!
“Anytime you come is a workout. Whether you realize it or not, you’re working your whole system at once,” said Jackson. “So ten minutes feels like an hour.”
