WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The 33rd Annual North Carolina Holiday Flotilla began Saturday in Wrightsville Beach.
All the festivities kicked off with the Festival in the Park.
The festival event is one of the highlights of the Flotilla weekend where families, even the furry family members, spent the day enjoying all the activities on hand.
Local merchants sold all sorts of items including some creative twists Christmas favorites.
In addition to the booths there were food, games and a car show.
The variety of fun gave guests plenty to enjoy.
“It’s just nice to be out and it’s nice to be out and not have to talk about the election,” Wilmington native Steve Hall said. “It’s just fun to come out here, relax, see the local crafts and the local people.”
Guests said the Festival in the Park was the perfect way to start the Flotilla and set up the boat parade.
