WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — As many families get ready for Christmas, Wilmington Children’s Museum celebrated by hosting a Polar Express Day Saturday.
The museum in Downtown Wilmington gave kids and families a chance to relive a favorite childhood book, The Polar Express, with train rides, hot cocoa, and story time.
They also could write a letter to Santa and take home a special bell.
“It’s definitely one of the cutest days of the year as kids are in their PJs obviously for Polar Express and holiday wear,” Kathleen King, Director of Operations & Guest Services, said. “We are all festive here wearing our Christmas outfits and everything. It’s a really great time to see all the families interacting and doing all the holiday stuff.
King says this the second year they have held this event.
The Sudan Shriners provided the train and families are ride along Orange Street.
