WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The third day of an eight day Martin Luther King celebration brought a diverse crowd together for laughter tonight at the Dead Crow Comedy Room.

Cedric Harrison, the host of the evening, said comedy is something that brings people together. He said for many, race can be a touchy subject, but is nonetheless important. “You want to go and reflect on all of the things that he’s done. So he also was a comedic man from the stories that I’ve heard. So just kinda wanting to come together on a Wednesday and just have some laughter and joy together,” said Harrison.

He said the events all week are aimed at bringing people together to share stories, experiences, and hope for the future all while remembering Martin Luther King Jr.
