ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY) — 2015 East Bladen High graduate Larrell Murchison received an offer to play football at Ole Miss early last month. Murchison accepted the offer within 24 hours, but he didn’t sign with the Rebels. For the last week or so he’s been contemplating an offer from the University of Georgia instead. Larrell Murchison was expected to sign with one of the two SEC schools on Wednesday, the first day of the new signing period.
Larrell Murchison ended up postponing his signing ceremony early Wednesday morning. It was obvious something else was in play. As it turns out the 6’4″ defensive end/defensive tackle signed with NC State late Wednesday afternoon. The switch to the Wolfpack totally came out of the blue. Larrell Murchison, who played two seasons of junior college football at Lynchburg, is listed at 6’4″ 290 lbs. Murchison had 18 tackles for a loss during the 2016 college season. His twin brother, Farrell Murchison, has yet to commit for his next destination.
