Hype is over, practice is over, Seahawks ready to face Cavaliers

ORLANDO, FL (WWAY) — WWAY’s Dustin Dorsey spent all of Wednesday in Orlando, Florida chasing down UNCW players on the eve of their NCAA Tournament game against Virginia. Check out Dustin’s preview report of UNCW-Virginia. “I am excited,” UNCW senior Ambrose Mosley told WWAY’s Dustin Dorsey. “It’s my first time unlike everyone else and I’m trying to make the most of it.” The Seahawks looked fresh at practice and off the court they’re having fun enjoying the opportunity at hand. “It feels great being here,” UNCW sophomore Devontae Cacok said. “It’s our second year being here and we got a lot of experience last year and we’re going to take that into this year.” UNCW senior Chuck Ogbodo added “Last year we came in with great energy and we lost in the first round but we knew what we left on the table. So this year we’re coming back with a chip on our backs because we don’t want to be done after the first round. We want to keep going. We’re excited for the opportunity that’s being handed to us.”

UNCW’s opponent on Thursday was a bit more reserved on Wednesday. “Every team we play likes to get into transition so we’re used to it but obviously this is a different team,” UVA’s London Perrantes said. “One through four they can all shoot the three and things like that. So we just have to get back into transition and take care of the ball.”
