FAYETTEVILLE, NC (AP) – A North Carolina prosecutor says an Army veteran and her boyfriend, who’s also a soldier, can be heard laughing as they filmed themselves fatally shooting her service dog.

The Fayetteville Observer reports (http://bit.ly/2oILugy) 23-year-old Marinna Rollins and 25-year-old Jarren Heng are accused of tying the dog, Cam, to a tree and shooting it multiple times with a rifle.

Cumberland County District Attorney Clark Reaves says the two can be heard giggling and laughing as the dog is being killed. Both are charged with cruelty to animals.

Court documents show Rollins medically retired from the Army in January. Lt. Col. Robert Bockholt said Heng is a soldier in a unit that reports to the Army Special Operations Command. Bockholt declined to give the exact unit.

It’s unclear whether they have lawyers.

If I ever go to jail – it will be regarding animal abuse. I hope to hell they rot in prison.

I believe that you can truly see into a person’s soul by watching how they treat those that are helpless… the young, the old, and animals. Clearly, these two are lacking. I pray that they receive the harshest of punishment from the judicial system and their community. I hope they are never allowed to forget what they did.

I sure hope someone can post up some clear pictures of these two and their address’s so the rest of us can avoid them, if they will do that to a dog, they will do that to your child, make no mistake about it.

It’s a total disgrace to America that these two were able to make it and become US Army soldiers!

I hope someone can post their pictures and addresses so they CAN be found. The sickest kind of cruelty such as this deserves a long, slow painful death.

They don’t need a lawyer, they need a bodyguard now! They will be tracked down for this behavior!
