WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The riverfront along the northern end of downtown Wilmington could eventually look a whole lot different, if proposed plans come to fruition.
New design plans submitted today for Pier 33 reveal a future six-story apartment complex that would hold 287 units, a parking deck, and nearly 24,000 sf of retail space.
According to the documents, the apartments would be made up of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units, as well as studio apartments.
The parking deck would provide 745 parking spaces, but 608 of those would be private.
The project would stretch from Brunswick Street to Harnett Street, between PPD and Port City Marina.
One of Pier 33’s restaurants, Blackfinn Ameripub, should be opening this weekend.
The plans for the new proposed development are scheduled to before the Technical Review Committee on June 8.
