WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — With the heat turning up, people are finding the easiest ways to cool down.
With Wilmington city pools open, it takes just one quick dip
The Legion stadium, Northside near Wilmington Police Department and Robert Strange Park are now open to the public.
Today, crowds came out to cool down and have fun.
Pool staff says it’s been busy but manageable.
“We haven’t been slammed, but there have been a substantial amount of people coming. Like right now in the pool, we don’t have that many people. But it’s enough to have a guard out here and have us all have something to do,” Flannery Hutko, a lifeguard at Robert Strange Park, said.
Hutko also believe this season will be busier than last, due to hotter weather coming earlier this year.
