Quesinberry is excited to officially become a U.S citizen after living in America for the past 12 years.

“I love to go everywhere, ya know you get to travel more, but I am so ready to vote,” Quesinberry said.
Franklin Etarock, who is from Cameroon said he is also excited to vote.
“Today is a very excellent day for me, for my family and I am very happy to be an American citizen right now. It’s been a long journey and I am happy that my family has been supportive to me throughout this process,” Etarock said.
The new citizens came from all over the world.
Twenty different countries like Mexico, India, South Korea and Jamaica.
UNCWs Chancellor Zito Sartarelli was the keynote speaker. Sartarelli is someone who knows exactly what this moment feels like.

Overall the new citizens are looking forward to what is next.
“I am happy for this opportunity and I look forward to becoming a meaningful citizen,” said Etarock.
