CHARLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — Kadeem Allen, a former standout at New Hanover High School, is hoping to be picked in the upcoming NBA Draft. Fans of his in North Carolina are hoping to see more of him in the future.
Today Allen, among five other prospects, worked out for the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets have reason to be interested in Allen as he is coming off an All PAC-12 defensive performance as well as averaging 9.8 points and four rebounds a game.
He has been spending much of his time working out for teams in preparation for the draft and he says it’s tough but worth it.
“It’s been tiring man. Workout after workout and having to fly to each city,” Allen said. “But at the end I feel that it’s all going to pay off and it’s a great opportunity.”
Allen is projected to go anywhere from the second round to undrafted free agent in the draft happening on June 22nd.
