WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Three teens, armed with a gun, are accused of forcing their way inside an apartment on Campus Cove, which is off Randall Parkway.
Wilmington Police say it happened at Carolina Cove Apartments around 1:00 a.m.
Brandyn Queen, 17, Michael Mitchell, 18, and a 15-year-old are charged.
Police say three residents were inside the apartment when the teens came in and demanded cash. The suspect with the gun hit one of the victims in the head, police say.
The teens were arrested outside the apartment.
Two of the teens are in the New Hanover County Jail.
The 15-year-old was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
Mitchell’s charges include:
- Robbery with a dangerous weapon
- Assault with a deadly weapon
- Burglary – 1st degree
- Possession of stolen firearms
He is in jail under a $200,000 bond.
