WILMINGTON, North Carolina (UNCWSports.com) – UNCW interim head coach Daniel Bowden has announced the signing of Lansdon Robbins to play golf for the Seahawks beginning with the 2018-19 season.
“It has been a pleasure getting to know Lansdon and we are excited to welcome him into the Seahawk family,” said Bowden. “I know his intelligence combined with his fearless, aggressive style of play will allow him to succeed at the college level. I’m proud to have Lansdon be my first signee as a head coach and look forward to him having an immediate impact on our program!”
Robbins (Davidson, N.C.) is the #2 ranked player in North Carolina from the 2018 Class according to the North Carolina State Rankings and is the #63 ranked player in the nation from his graduating class according to Golfweek.
He was a three-time All-Conference selection at Cannon School and twice named All-State. Last summer, he finished runner-up in the North Carolina Amateur at River Run CC, carding a 2-under par 286 total for the four rounds (69-74-70-73).
Robbins’ career-low round is a 63 at the Camden County Club in Camden, S.C.
