Police say Jessica Marie Cross, 27, has been charged with theft and burglary.

“I was trying to make sense of all this and I knew that the right thing to do was have her turn herself in. She was very adamant about turning herself in and she’s very apologetic,” Antonio Martin said.

Martin says Cross, his wife of three years and mother of their 2-year-old son, can barely remember what happened that night.

“Apparently she got up at some point in the night and wanted to get something to eat, something to drink, or something, and ventured out, and this happened,” Martin said.

Martin says he and his wife were headed to the Howard County Detention Center in Jessup Maryland on Thursday where she was going to turn yourself in, but police didn’t even allow her to arrive before they located her car and arrested her on the side of the road at Route 175.

“Definitely want to get her some help. We were coming here to meet the detectives and you know they were waiting for us. Which was probably standard. They probably weren’t sure if she was actually going to do it or not,” Martin said.

Martin says he watches the video over and over again and can’t believe that’s his wife and the mother of his child. He says he wants everyone to know the woman in this viral video is not who she really is.

“She just had a blackout, drunk experience and unfortunately it resulted in this kind of behavior,” Martin said.
