WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — As the winter weather continues to sweep the Cape Fear Region, Vigilant Hope, a modern missions organization, is hoping you can help those in need stay warm.

While the organization collects coats year round they still need more as the temperature continues to drop.

They also need warm blankets, gloves, and beanies to help the homeless.

If you would like to drop off a donation you can until 8 p.m. Tuesday night at Vigilant Hope located at Lake Forest Baptist Church at 1626 Lake Branch Drive.

They will be collecting items Wednesday and Thursday as well.

If you would like to drop off items on another day you can email Jason Mitchell at jason@vigilanthope.com to set up a time.
