NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Wrightsville Beach drawbridge will be closed for 20 minutes at a time, so crews can thaw the bridge and reopen it to boaters.
The NC Department of Transportation tweeted that the bridge will be raised and lowered intermittently until 4 p.m.
The bridge closed to maritime traffic yesterday due to mechanical issues caused by the ice.
