SCOTTS HILL, NC (WWAY) — The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive in Scotts Hill next week to make up for the lack of donations during the winter weather.

The Cape Fear Chapter of the American Red Cross says in North Carolina they lost 21 blood drives in the past week because of the snow and ice so they are in dire need of blood.

The drive will be at Scotts Hill Baptist Church on Monday from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Donors can pre-register on the Red Cross website and find other blood drives in the area.
