WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington City Council is expected to approve a resolution supporting the NC DOT median project and landscaping improvements along Market Street.
That’s one item on the agenda council will discuss at tonight’s meeting.
The city has budgeted $1.55 million to partner with the NC DOT toward the aesthetic improvements, such as landscaping and adding sidewalks to fill the gaps.
The streetscape improvements would run along Market Street between the railroad tracks and Station Road. The NC DOT project is expected to begin work in October of 2020.
The meeting starts at 6:30 at Wilmington City Council chambers.
