The robotics team had six weeks to build Cube-Bert for an upcoming FIRST Robotics competition.

Dozens of people came out to see the robot demonstration.

The overall goal of this project, besides winning the competition, is to teach kids across the county about teamwork, engineering, programming, and business.

As for Cube-Bert, it’s designed specifically for a game it will play in.

“It picks up these egg crate like cubes and it will carry them to either a scale, which looks like that, or a switch which is about a coffee table height. And then we’ll take the cubes and then put them on there to help us gain points one way or another,” Wired Wizards Public Relations Coordinator, Emma Pleasants said.

The Wired Wizards have made it to the World Championships for the past two years which has helped them create two new teams.

The Wired Wizards hope this year is no different.
