BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The battle over H2GO’s assets continued today.

H2GO leaders, the Town of Leland and the Town of Belville were back in Brunswick County Superior Court.

WaterPIO’s Mike McGill, who is serving as a spokesman on behalf of Belville, says today’s hearing was a procedural matter to determine how to move forward.

The judge ruled Leland and H2GO plaintiffs in the case and Belville the defendant for Leland’s legal complaints.

Previously Leland sued H2GO to stop the transfer of assets to Belville.

As of now, Belville still retains those assets, and H2GO’s reverse osmosis plant work is still suspended.

The legal fight stems from a move by the outgoing H2GO board in November to transfer the water provider’s assets to Belville to keep the RO plant project alive.
