WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Following consideration and interest from schools across the country, Hoggard Junior Wide Receiver Chris Toudle has decided to stay in state as he committed to NC State over the weekend.
The 6’4″ receiver had 32 catches for 556 yards and 11 touchdowns in his senior season for the Mideastern Conference Champion Vikings.
Following interest from many high profile schools, his ultimate decision came down to the University of Maryland and NC State.
After thought and prayer, Toudle decided to remain in North Carolina where the Pack gave him the best opportunity for play, education and family atmosphere.
“I’m confident that I can bring a great impact to the team, whether it’s leadership or playing time, I know I’m going to to impact them in someway,” Toudle said. “There’s still a lot of improvement and I haven’t just reached my full potential. I’m going to keep working hard and work my butt off every day.”
Toudle plans to sign his letter of intent in December.
Best of luck in the future Chris! We look forward to one more season at Hoggard.
