PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Hampstead branch of the Pender County library will be closed this week as crews work to fix flood damage.
During the snowstorm and severely cold temperatures that hit the Cape Fear back in January, a spigot on the outside of the building burst.
County officials say that resulted in about 25 percent of the carpeted floor being flooded.
The work is expected to take all week and the library is scheduled to re-open next Monday, May 7.
Pender County Public Libraries says the Burgaw library will be open as an alternative.
