WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Get ready for his airness to hit the small screen in a big way.
ESPN Films and Netflix are reportedly joining forces for a documentary series on the life of Wilmington’s Michael Jordan.
The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch is reporting that the two production companies are working on a multi-part 10-hour documentary about the legendary basketball player.
Deitsch says the project is set to come out next year and that Jordan has signed off on his participation.
Jordan was born in Brooklyn, New York but moved to Wilmington when he was a toddler.
He graduated from Laney High School in 1981 before becoming a star at UNC Chapel Hill and then made his mark on the world of pro basketball.
