NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — From baking and gardening to crafts and more, there’s something for everyone at 4-H.
4-H is the nation’s largest youth development and empowerment organization, reaching more than seven million youth. 4-H’ers engage in hands-on learning activities in the areas of science, healthy living, and food security. In fact, there’s a group in every county across North Carolina. It is the largest youth development organization in our state.
New Hanover County 4-H is offering six 4-H Summer FUN Camps at the extension office at New Hanover County Arboretum. In addition to the six camps, the county 4-H is offering two overnight opportunities. One is the College Week for Teens Tour (July 9-13) and the other is Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Camp in Reidsville (July 29 – August 3).
