WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — This weekend, you can see the entire Lower Cape Fear Historical Society’s Fashion and Textile Collection on display for the first time.
On Friday, the Latimer House in Wilmington will be filled with fashions from 1850 to 1940, including the recently donated Horrocks’ collection of Latimer family Edwardian era clothing.
Costumed interpreters will explain the history behind the elaborate styles. Visitors can see how women achieved their silhouette during two Edwardian Dressings at 6:45 and 7:45 p.m.
Tickets are $20 each and include a souvenir booklet. The proceeds benefit the archive and collection funds.
