WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — One of the charges against former UNCW basketball player Addison Spruill has been dismissed.
In March, during a traffic stop, Spruill was cited for speeding and simple possession of marijuana. He was driving for Uber at the time.
He was also served with a warrant for aiding and abetting in intimidating a witness, which is a felony.
WWAY confirmed that felony charge was voluntarily dismissed earlier this month.
He will appear in court for the speeding and simple possession charge later this month.
Editor’s note: A previous version of this story incorrectly reported that Spruill’s next court date was in September.
