WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Audiences of all ages can enjoy the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, an organization that’s been bringing music to the Cape Fear region for nearly 50 years.
The musicians are local instrumentalists, and gifted students and faculty, selected each year by audition. Conductor Steven Errante has been with the orchestra for more than three decades.
In addition to a series of concerts, the Wilmington Symphony provides both performance opportunities and unique educational programs that include the Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra, a Free Family Concert, the annual Richard R. Deas Student Concerto Competition, Artist-in-Residence Programs in area schools and the Wilmington Symphony Birthday Club for young children.
Next month, the orchestra kicks off their 2018-2019 Masterworks Series. Performances are held at CFCC’s Wilson Center in Wilmington. For details on each, click here.
