WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The iconic Governor Dudley Mansion in downtown Wilmington is once again for sale.
The historic mansion, located at 400 South Front Street, was built in 1825.
It was originally home to Edward Dudley, the first popularly elected governor of the state.
In the late 1800s, residents Pembroke and Sarah Jones held lavish parties there and local folklore says it helped give rise to the famous phrase “Keeping up with the Joneses”.
