WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — What’s more fun than watching the Super Bowl with your friends? Downtown Wilmington’s MLK Center hosted dozens of kids for their own party.
The center provides fun and safe alternative programs for youth in the community. Each year local businesses donate food for the kids to enjoy.
As the big game continued through the night, the kids were eyeing the game clock waiting for half time but, not for the big celebrity show.
Half time means a break to battle against each other in games like Family Feud.
“At home, I have my sisters,” said Dominic Henry. “But, what’s fun about watching it here is that here I have my friends and I just get to have fun.”
The center hosts events throughout the year for youth. The next scheduled program will be a basketball clinic in March. Check out their website for more details.
