BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County high school students will receive their report cards a little later than expected.

According to the Brunswick County School District’s website, high school first semester report cards will be slightly delayed while the school system deals with a calculation matter involving PowerTeacher Gradebook.

The district says they are researching grades that may have been impacted by a statewide grade calculation change.

Brunswick County Schools say in their initial review, it appears to have a very minimal impact in Brunswick County, but they appreciate patience as they make sure no student is adversely affected.

Your child’s school will notify you when report cards are being sent.

Early College students will receive an updated report card if their grade was adversely impacted.

The glitch concerns PowerSchool software. The NC Department of Education has said the error comes from a change in grade calculation methods the software used.
