The sheriff’s office says two deputies approached two people in a parked car, saw what they believed was a gun in one man’s hand, and one deputy fired shots.

Captain James Rowell with the sheriff’s office says the deputy’s name will not be released until the investigation is complete.

The sheriff’s office says an outside agency is now investigating in consultation with the DA’s Office.
