WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Friday was the beginning of the 30th Annual Annual Trauma & Acute Care Symposium in Wilmington.
The event is held by New Hanover Regional Medical Center at the Wilmington Convention Center through Saturday.
Administrators, physicians, EMTs and pre-hospital staff alike attended to get new certifications, or brush up on familiar topics like disaster management and trauma review.
“[It is] an educational opportunity, that’s one,” NHRMC Director Dr. Timothy Novosel said. “Two is interface between these different groups of people that maybe I’ve met some new friends here and getting to interact with other folks I might not necessarily interact with.”
Dr. Novosel says that every year he loves for as many people to come as possible.
