Reward offered in string of offensive graffiti in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Crime Stoppers of the Lower Cape Fear, in conjunction with the Wilmington Police Department, is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in a recent string of vandalism incidents.

Wilmington Police responded to three incidents where racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic graffiti had been spray painted on property.

The incidents took place in the 200 block of Lake Drive, which is Flytrap Downs, where Cape Fear Rugby plays their games, The Bridge Church in the 2100 block of Market Street and at a home in the 500 block of S. 11th Street last week.

The three incidents are believed to be connected.
