WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Riverfront Farmers Market is scheduled to open later this month and when it does, it will be in a new location.
According to a news release, the farmers market will need to move from its downtown location due to the recent decision by the Coast Guard to work on the Riverfront Park bulkhead on Water St.
The farmers market is moving down to Dock St., on the block between Front and 2nd Streets.
The farmers market says the majority of their regular vendors are planning to return to the market, offering fresh local produce, baked goods, meats, eggs, kombucha, a large variety of plants including orchids, vegetable, garden, herbs, landscape and house plants.
Plus, local artisan vendors with handmade arts and crafts, producers of homemade dog treats, elderberry syrup, flavored marshmallows, NC wines and more.
The Riverfront Farmers Market kicks off March 23. Hours are from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
