McKinly Freeman, Jr., 28, and Michael Jerome Jordan, 26, are both charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injuries.

Chadbourn Police Chief Anthony Spivey says they reached out to the U.S. Marshals Task Force to help take the two suspects in custody.

The men were arrested Thursday afternoon on Ten Mile Road, just outside of Tabor City.

“We want our citizens to know Chadbourn did our part, didn’t stop until we got them,” Chief Spivey said. “They’re in jail tonight.”

Spivey said he spoke with the victim, who is doing good and is in recovery.

Freeman and Jordan are being held under a $15,000 bond. They will have a first appearance on Friday.

Spivey said more arrests are expected.
