From theatre to musicals, the Cape Fear offers numerous weekend entertainment options

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY/StarNews) — From music acts to live theater, there are lots of events happening in the Cape Fear for you to enjoy the weekend.

On Friday, Air Supply will play at Cape Fear Community College’s Wilson Center at 7:30 p.m.

If you’re more into theatre, head to TheatreNow for their performance of “The Book of Liz,” play co-written by Amy Sedaris and her brother, David.

There will also be a temporary pop-up gallery at Anchorlight featuring an installation of photographs by Raleigh artist Elisabeth Effron.

On Saturday and Sunday, Pleasure Island hosts the Seafood, Blues & Jazz Festival featuring a lineup of blues players.



Finally, Opera House Theatre Company and Foundation Forward will perform the musical “1776” at Thalian Hall on Saturday and Sunday.
