South Carolina K-9 deputy gets good report after being shot

Marion County K-9 deputy Kilo’s visit to the veterinarian this week went well and he’s had all of his stitches removed after being shot two weeks ago somewhere along Kemper Road in Marion County, according to Marion County Brian Wallace.

Kilo underwent reconstructive surgery to help save his leg North Carolina State University Veterinary Hospital.

The Sheriff’s Office posted the following message Thursday on social media about Kilo’s recovery.

“K9 Kilo had a fantastic check-up. Sutures are out. Incision is excellent. The CONE is GONE. Sweet boy is doing great!!! Kilo will be making a visit to our office next week for a change of scenery so expect a photo overload!
