MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WPDE) — A man is accused of firing shots at a boat on the Intracoastal Waterway, according to Horry County Police.
Thomas Clardy, 64, was charged with pointing firearms at a person. He was released on $2,500 bail.
The incident happened on June 5.
Officers responded to reports of a person shooting a firearm at passing boats on the Intracoastal Waterway. Police spoke to three victims who claimed they were traveling southbound on the river when they heard what sounded like gunshots. One victim told officers that she saw a man on his back porch yelling at them to turn the music down.
According to the report, the suspect yelled, “this is a no wake zone.”
A victim said the suspect then shot one more round at their boat that hit the water.
