WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–Graduating high school is an accomplishment that deserves recognition especially if you’re the schools first ever graduate. Will Kibler made history on Thursday becoming the first student to graduate from the Southeastern Autism Academy in Wilmington.
Kibler was the only student in his graduating class and the school made him feel more than special on his big day.
“He’s been through so much and as a family we’ve been through so much with him, to see this happen is just amazing,“says Will’s mother Amy Kibler.
He says it was overwhelming to see the support from everyone in attendance.
“I feel pretty excited about it and it feels good to be apart of a whole big community that supported me throughout my life,”says Class of 2020 graduate Will Kibler. “It’s also good to hear all that I have accomplished.”
