HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) — It took 11 days into the PGA Tour’s return for the first positive test for the coronavirus.
Nick Watney had symptoms Friday before his round at the RBC Heritage and the result came back positive. The next question is who’s next, or how many more positive tests, before the show no longer goes on.
The tour began its phase of contact tracing and identified 11 people who were tested Friday evening. All results came back negative.
Secondary tests were given, and those results were not expect until Saturday night or Sunday.
