Wave Transit could be stopping only route into Brunswick County

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wave Transit is looking into stopping the only bus route that takes riders into Brunswick County from New Hanover County.

Wave Transit will hold two public hearings to get input regarding the cancellation
of Route 204 Brunswick Connector.

The public hearings will allow those impacted to be heard in regards to ending the fixed-route bus service and ADA accessible van service through the Dial a Ride Transportation (DART) Program to Northern Brunswick County, Town of Leland and Town of Navassa.

One will take place on Wednesday, July 22 at 6:15 p.m. and the other on July 23 at 12:30 p.m. at at Wave Transit’s Maintenance and Operations Center, located at 1480 Castle Hayne Rd. in Wilmington.
