SOUTH CAROLINA (WPDE)– The South Carolina Dept. of Health and Environmental Control continues to release the number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in the state.
According to the agency, as of July 13, of the total positive cases of COVID-19 in South Carolina, DHEC has “symptom onset data”, for 26,689 people. Symptoms onset data means the date when a person first showed signs of illness.
Of those individuals, 766 have unfortunately died.
DHEC officials reported that of those 26,689 patients, 25,923 individuals are still alive and 92% of those people have recovered from COVID-19, and 8% are estimated to remain ill. This means that 23,849 coronavirus patients have recovered in the state.
