MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WPDE) — A federal lawsuit against the city of Myrtle Beach and its police department for discrimination against Black tourists and bikers will go to trial Wednesday.
According to Lacy Crawford, the trial has been postponed to start Wednesday instead of Tuesday because the judge ordered a last-minute hearing on the NAACP’s standing to bring claims against Myrtle Beach which is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
