New Hanover County officials have been monitoring the hurricane, trying to get plans in place. It is still too early to tell who may have to be evacuated if anyone. Timing the arrival and studying the track will be key in the upcoming days.

Woman hit by semi may be cited

A woman hit by a tractor trailer this morning may faces charges. Wilmington Police say Ruth Henry was crossing New Centre Drive from the east side of S. College Road. With traffic backed up, she walked behind a truck stopped at the light.

The Wilmington Hammerheads step out of USL play tonight at Legion Stadium. The pro soccer team is in first round action in the Lamar Hunt US Oen Cup. Wilmington will host the Central Florida Kraze out of the USL's Professional Development League.

Pender’s Pittman signs with James Madison

The big man on campus at Pender High School made his choice for college official today. Keynan Pittman, a 6'10" center inked his letter of intent to play basketball for James Madison next year.

Downtown Wilmington is the site for the North Carolina Athletic Directors Association conference. Two-hundred-fifty high school AD's are in town for the three-day event.
