Sarah was born and raised in Raleigh, where she became interested in video production and broadcasting at Needham Broughton High School. After moving to Wilmington to attend UNCW, Sarah joined the student-run television station TealTV. She became the group's studio director during her senior year. Sarah interned with the news department at WWAY before being hired as a production assistant in 2014. In 2015, she became a videojournalist and fill-in producer. Over time, Sarah began to enjoy her role as a fill-in producer more and more. She was promoted to a full-time evening news producer in 2018. She typically produces the 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. weekday newscasts on WWAY CBS and the 11 p.m. newscast on WWAY ABC and CBS. Sarah has a bachelor of arts degree in Communication Studies and a minor in History from UNCW. When she's not at work, Sarah enjoys volunteering and taking photos for the Junior League of Wilmington, discussing pop culture and hanging out with friends. Sarah likes living close to the beach year-round and loves calling Wilmington home!
